The Virginia Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) ensures that Virginia citizens and media representatives have access to public records. A public record includes any writing or recording, in any format, created during the course of public business. You may request to inspect or obtain copies of WATA’s public records. WATA reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee for locating, copying, and producing the requested records.
